Hibiscus Exfoliating Honey Mask

Camu Camu // This fruit, native to the Amazon, is extremely high in Vitamin C (almost 30 times more than oranges!) helping to even & brighten the skin's complexion. It contains both vitamin c & niacin, a powerful combination in fighting pigmentation caused by sun & acne.  

Hibiscus Flowers // Called the “natural botox plant” because of its firming & lifting properties, hibiscus is high in naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acids. AHAs exfoliate, promote cell renewal & help prevent breakouts. Hibiscus is also high in water-soluble antioxidants, which help fight off damage-causing free-radicals & promote a healthy complexion. Use this exfoliating mud 1-2x per week on damp or dry skin as a mask with 2 application options!

Kayla's Method: Honey Tapping! Start by taking a small dime-size amount of the mask, warming and emulsifying the honey in your fingertips. Apply with your fingertips onto skin and then pull the finger tips away from the face creating a sticky-tacky motion, continue all over the face and neck. By using this honey-tapping method all over the face you are creating blood circulation, stimulating collagen production, and activating the beautiful natural enzymes in the Honey. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Apoterra Method: Start by taking a small dime-size amount of the honey mud, and slowly start applying to face with a gentle circular motion. The mud will melt on your skin, covering it in a thin, sweet layer of flowers and berries. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove by rinsing with warm water. Follow with one of our facial mists, such as our Neroli Complexion Mist. Finish with a facial oil or balm.
